Common Mistakes Committed and Challenges Faced in Research Proposal Writing by University of Aden Postgraduate Students

The purpose of this study is to investigate the common mistakes committed by postgraduate students as well challenges they faced during writing their proposals. obtained a convince sampling in which 15 English Department, University Aden were recruited. In study, data was collected using students' proposals, and correction forms, focused group discussion. researcher analyzed used qualitative analyses i.e., content-based highlighting main themes. findings indicated that majority such choice an appropriate title, unclear statement problem, irrelevant literature review, choosing inappropriate methodology, references system not clear some plagiarism issues. Moreover, it investigated generally had standard proposal format, reviews, methodology skills other supervision These are great importance for instructors at program.
